Cleveland Enterprise Friday, April 30, 1915 Old Time Driller Dead Lawrence Caldwell, known in the oil country as "Jack," died at the home of Mrs. J. M. Shuey early Sunday morning, from a complication of diseases. He was taken sick down in the oil field near Drumright and sent here to be treated and cared for, but never got any better than he was upon his arrival here. A letter from his daughter and sister, announced that they had not heard from him for twenty years.
